The Weekday "Commuter Express Train" Version

With a lifelong passion for learning and a keen curiosity for understanding how things work and sharing my findings with others, I have been on a journey that led me to become a mechanical engineer, junior high teacher, adjunct professor, elementary school principal, and blogger.

I apply adult learning theories and methodologies like ADDIE, SAM, and action mapping with tools like Articulate Storyline 360, Articulate Rise 360, and Adobe Creative Cloud to create learning experiences to address knowledge and skill gaps.

With a full-circle journey from instructing adults to children and back, I'm poised to understand your unique training needs and craft tailored learning experiences that empower employees to excel, perform at their best, and realize their fullest potential.

The Weekend "Makes All Local Stops" Version

With a lifelong passion for learning, I've always sought to understand the inner workings of things. As a child, I enjoyed dismantling objects to determine how they worked and how to improve them. This early fascination with processes and efficiency ultimately guided my path to becoming a mechanical engineer. In this role, I gained invaluable insights into the pain points of manufacturing processes, which enabled me to train others in implementing more efficient procedures.

Following my college years, I transitioned into teaching mathematics to junior high students. This experience permitted me to craft engaging learning experiences that enhanced their mathematical proficiency and allowed me to establish strong connections with each student. Additionally, I took on the role of training my peers on various technology tools, which empowered me to demonstrate my knack for making complex concepts accessible.

Subsequently, I was entrusted with teaching a graduate-level course on statistical methods and research design. Serving as an adjunct professor, I had the privilege of educating adults and providing them with valuable insights to enhance their professional education practice. This role was particularly fulfilling, as it granted me the opportunity to contribute to the growth of fellow educators and give back to the broader educational community.

The pandemic presented unique challenges and opportunities during my time as an elementary school principal. I spearheaded the creation of innovative distance and hybrid learning experiences for students by adapting swiftly to the sudden shift in educational paradigms. Additionally, I designed eLearning modules for parents that addressed the rapidly evolving procedures and protocols.

Currently, I've delved into the realm of adult learning theories and methodologies, including ADDIE, SAM, and action mapping, which have significantly influenced my recent portfolio projects. This exploration has led me to master Articulate Storyline 360 and Articulate Rise 360, and further develop my proficiency with Adobe Creative Cloud. Exploring innovative solutions like Midjourney has broadened my creative horizons and enabled me to incorporate AI artwork into my portfolio projects.

I've found immense gratification in addressing the problem-solving challenges inherent in developing my portfolio. I enjoyed leveraging invaluable feedback from subject matter experts to enhance these projects further. Creating the portfolio website evoked nostalgic memories of my time overseeing the school's website during my tenure as a teacher and administrator.

While my pursuit of learning remains unwavering, my journey has come full circle, from instructing adults to children and back to adults again. I'm poised and ready to immerse myself in understanding your distinct training needs and meticulously crafting tailored learning experiences to bridge skill and knowledge gaps. My ultimate goal is to empower your employees to excel, to perform at their absolute best, and to realize their fullest potential.
